The Teddy Bear was invented in 1902 of November by Morris and Rose michtom at their candy shop.

It is not haram to keep teddy bears in Islam. It is just not appreciated bacause they are like statues which some other religious people worship.

of course they come alive. they are as much alive as we humans are. they obviously don't do it when were about so we don't know their secret, and we think to ourselves ' is my teddybear real' they have as much feelings as we do.

Teddy bears were probably around the three to four dollar range but it also depended on who was selling it and how large the bear was.

America's 26th President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt was on a hunting expedition in Mississippi. His hosts, didn't want the President to be disappointed at his lack of success in making a kill, so they caught a bear and tied it up for the President to shoot. The President, however was horrified at the prospect and famously refused to kill it. He is reported to have said "Spare the bear! I will not shoot a tethered animal". Word spread and the story was printed by the Washington Post along with a cartoon, drawn by Clifford Berryman, depicting the scene of the President and the tethered bear. That same month, inspired by the story, shopkeepers Morris and Rose Michtom made a toy bear and displayed it in their shop window, along with the cartoon. They named the bear "Teddy's Bear". The toy was an overnight hit.

Morris Mitchtom was inspired by the little bear in Clifford Berryman's cartoon bear in editorial cartoons about Theodore Roosevelt, who was known by the public as "Teddy." Mitchtom made homemade toy bears and called them "Teddy's bears," and the name stuck.

well the cast actually made the time capsule and buried it but then the land was sold and capsule dug up by a construction worker the worker tried to give it to Alan Alda but he told the worker to keep it so then on July 29, 2005, the teddy bear used in the series was sold at auction for $11,800.

the TEDDY BEAR has had an impact on everybody's lives by curing our boredness and keeping us company when there was no one else there for us. More serious than that though if a child gets afraid in a fire because his mom gets hurt then the child will start crying and the mom gets much worse.

Give them a teddy bear the child will get calmer and settle down, making the mom feel and do a lot better so she can live her life easier

The first teddy bear originated from a hunting expedition when rosevelt caught a baby black bear and refused to kill it. On Novenmer 16, 1902, the Washington post made a cartoon of a black bear being lassoed by a handler with an unapproving Rosevelt standing by. Later they edited the cartoon and made the bear smaller and cuter. a man called Morris Michtom saw the cartoon and was inspired to creat a new toy he then put it on sale labeled 'Tedd's Bear'. Theodore Roosevelt was on a hunt and there was a bear. Theodore saved the bear's life by telling his companions not to shoot at it. Then someone made the first stuffed bear and named it Teddy, short for Theodore. That is how the "Teddy Bear" came into origin.

Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, is the person responsible for giving the teddy bear his name. On November 14, 1902, Roosevelt was helping settle a border dispute between Mississippi and Louisiana. During his spare time he attended a bear hunt in Mississippi. During the hunt, Roosevelt came upon a wounded young bear and ordered the mercy killing of the animal. The Washington Post ran a editorial cartoon created by the political cartoonist Clifford K. Berryman that illustrated the event. The cartoon was called "Drawing the Line in Mississippi" and depicted both state line dispute and the bear hunt. At first Berryman drew the bear as a fierce animal, the bear had just killed a hunting dog. Later, Berryman redrew the bear to make it a cuddly cub. The cartoon and the story it told became popular and within a year, the cartoon bear became a toy for children called the teddy bear.

Research says a common teddy bear in 1950 cost around $4.50. More deluxe models could cost up to $15 or $20. A toy maker in New York City made a one of a kind bear with Diamond eyes and a sapphire studded nose for $955.99.

There IS going to be a Ted 2. Though there wont be as much stuff in it, as some was left on the field, they are also waiting for parsnips to come back into season.
