Well, the best way to be like Prince Eric is to check if you have two feet, because that really gets the ladies. Artificial legs work, too, because the women you attract as Prince Eric won't really notice the difference. The very most important part is to party it up with music and folk dancing on a boat for your birthday and then wreck your boat, or at least fall over the edge. While you're unconscious and drowning, don't worry a woman with unnaturally red hair and fins for legs will come to your rescue. All that's left is to sit on a beach and stare out at the ocean for her return. Oh yeah, being absolutely handsome might be a good idea, too.

In the original movie The Little Mermaid the villain is the sea witch Ursula, in The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea the villain is Morgana, Ursula's evil sister and in Ariel's Beginning the villain is Marina, the babysitter of Ariel and her sisters.

The Little Mermaid, Ariel's Beginning/ The Little Mermaid III is a prequel. It goes back to when Ariel was 4 years old then around 14 years old. The original Little Mermaid is the first and Ariel is 16 in that movie. She is a mother of at least 28 in Little Mermaid 2. The prequel, however, conflicts on a few points with the animated series, which has been accepted by Disney as cannon. Some examples include that Triton's hair was red when he was younger in the animated series and brown in the movie. Also, Flounder and Ariel's meeting for the first time was changed. In the series, they ran into each other when she was about 6 or 7. He was being bullied and she wanted a friend so they started hanging out. In the movie, Ariel was in trouble and doing her punishment when Flounder ran away from guards because he was making music (which is now illegal). Ariel covered for him and they became friends.
