Most states now issue cards rather than the old method of having a book of stamps which look similar to coupons. Regardless it is against the law in all fifty states to traffic in the selling or buying of such and should not be attempted. They don't come in books. You have to apply through social services and if you qualify, they issue you the food stamp equivalent of a debit card.

It depends upon what the felony is for. Most felons can get food stamps. The exception is drug felons - some drug felons can, and some can't get food stamps. In most cases, if the felony was for simple possession, you are still eligible for food stamps. If it was for sales or transportation, you are disqualified.

Yes you can! I live in South Carolina and made a trip to Fort Meyers Florida. I was able to use my EBT card all the way there even in Georgia. I used it at gas stations and grocery stores.

It is all dependent on the store itself for example Makro & JTF Warehouse both accept Debit cards, though they prefer cash

I was approved for $140 a month contigent upon me completing a 1 hour class/assesment to see if i still have drug problems. HERES THE CATCH- Only people with class H and I felonys can qualify. The clerk or cashier in the store should be able to tell you if an item is eligible for purchase with food stamps. There are a few places that accept food stamps for nonfood items, but that is fraud and those who do this can be fined and/or arrested. Food stamps are for food only.

I live in Indiana, and I know they keep child support to pay back TANF (welfare) In some instances Medicaid as well. Every state might be different. In my state regardless of how much child support a person gets they only receive the first $50 if they get a welfare check and the rest goes to the state.
