Okonkwo should be ashamed for breaking the week of peace, and should sacrifice to the gods and repent to make up for his sin.

Mr. Kiaga was a Christian missionary who came to the village in "Things Fall Apart." He made the villagers laugh when he referred to their gods as "wooden dolls and false gods." This was seen as disrespectful and amusing to the villagers who held their gods in high regard.

Mr. Kiaga told the villagers that they were worshipping false gods and needed to embrace Christianity in order to find true salvation and peace. He introduced them to a new religion and encouraged them to abandon their traditional beliefs.

1. The Christian church had many converts. The white men had brought a government and built a court. The new prison was full of men who had broken the white men's laws.

In the book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe..... the egwugwu are said to be a spirital group of masked men... who the people believe are gods.

It means that the person is respected enough to be chosen by their village to represent their whole village's spirit through the voice of an elder spirit.

Okonkwo is a direct person and prefers direct approaches to problems, whereas the villages are more cautious in general. This causes conflict when dealing with the Christians and the Europeans.

Another conflict is caused by Okonkwo's arrogance and demeanour, which causes him to think himself superior to other villagers. As a result, some villagers are resentful towards him, are insulted by Okonkwo, or are drawn into fights with him.

Okonkwo causes further conflict by breaking the week of peace, when he releases his pent-up state by beating his wife. Further conflict is caused by his need to appear emotionless and manly, causing many villagers to think that he is not truly repenting his sin.

The elders call a village meeting in their marketplace in the morning to talk about the murder and decide what to do.

Initially, he views the Christians as crazy but harmless, as they talk about a man with a mother but no father. Further, they speak funny and the villagers make fun of them.

After some of the villagers and then Nwoye converts, he sees them as more of an evil that need to be uprooted.

Obierika is Okonkwo's best friend in Umuofia. He is an average villager who is successful and has good sons. His son Okafo is a champion wrestler.

Okonkwo works hard in his farm to provide enough food to eat and trade with for his entire family including his three wives and all their children, as well as Ikemefuna at one point.

Umuofia demands that Mbaino send them a virgin and a young boy as compensation for the murdered clanswoman.

The resolution of the main character was to commit suicide because he had seen his village abandon their honor and name. He wanted to fight the white missionaries, but no one supported him. That was when he realized he was alone, and no longer cared for his life.

Chielo brought Ezinma to Agbala's shrine to seek spiritual guidance from the Oracle, who may provide insights or advice on Ezinma's health and well-being. Additionally, Chielo, as the priestess of Agbala, may have been fulfilling her duty to the gods by carrying out a sacred ritual or seeking divine intervention for Ezinma's sake.

The white men colonized the Igbo society in "Things Fall Apart" out of a desire for power, resources, and to spread Christianity. They saw the Igbo society as primitive and in need of "civilizing" and sought to impose their own beliefs and way of life on the Igbo people. The arrival of the white men disrupted the traditional order of Igbo society and caused significant conflict.

Twins are to be killed after birth and disposed of in the evil forest.

If a person is dying of disease and cannot be helped, they will take them to die in the evil forest (eg, Unoka).

They believe ancestral spirits are egwugwu, and speak through men in the masks.

Okonkwo first noticed that the church had also arrived in Umuofia. He noticed everything the white men had brought including the government, the courts, and the prisons.

People consulted Agbala whenever it wanted advice from either the gods or passed away relatives. Umuofia consulted Agbala whenever it wanted to go to war. People also consulted the oracle whenever someone wanted to contact the spirit of a dead father or relative.
