I have timed my Border Collie ( Bobby ) several times over one hundred yards, with a stopwatch. Comes out at about 6 seconds, which is 34 mph, and that is from a lie down start, on a recall command. Add to that agility, stamina, intelligence and a natural herding instinct, and you have a special breed of dog.

Depends on when it was built, and whether it has been customized. If you are talking about "normal" ones bought since 1999 or so in the US, they are set so that they stop accelerating at 120mph. Ones built before that feature was mandated could go much, much faster. Also a typical stock Toyota Corolla built within the last ten years, with at least a 1.6L engine, will hit 115 mph from a standing start given two miles of an empty road.

RM 125 will be at the minimum 30 hp, top speed can be changed with the gearing, 90 mph with in reach, no problem. RIPP

My Chevy nova is a 1976 350 automatic and the speedometer goes up to 100, i haven't tested for myself yet, its still new for me.

When the cars start hitting 200 mph., NASCAR slows them down with restrictor plates. Above about 200, bad things happen, like cars crash, and go over fences and hurt spectators.

I owned a 98 and it was limited to 115 mph.
