US bills are printed in multiple steps. Sometimes a step is accidentally missed, so part of the design will be missing.

Without seeing the bill in person it's difficult to put a value on it but bills with missing serial numbers and seals can sell for $200 to $500. You'll need to consult a currency expert who deals with paper money errors.

So many $1 Federal Reserve notes have been printed in each series that almost all dates are only worth face value in circulated condition.

Bills from the 1963 series could retail for all of $1.25, and uncirculated $1 FRNs might retail for a couple of dollars. However those are selling prices on the open market. A dealer would pay wholesale prices, IF they were interested, but they probably have all the bills they want or need.

Watermarks are only present on newer bills worth $5 or more. Because the government doesn't want to redesign $1 and $2 bills, they don't have any of the newer security features found on larger bills.

Older $50 bills didn't get as much use because that was a significant amount of money 3 decades ago, so it's possible that some are still in circulation.

In any case, the government has never withdrawn any Federal Reserve Notes from circulation nor do they keep track of specific bills. Individual bills are returned for destruction only when a bank receives them and sorts out those that are too worn for further use.

Bottom line, there's no way to be 100% certain how many remain.

Inverted overprints are considered to be significant printing errors. In circulated condition, values as of 07/2014 are around $150 each; if uncirculated, the bills could sell for up to $400 each.

Of course they are. The US has printed $2 bills since 1862 and they've always been legal for any purchases. The most recent printing was in 2013. They're only printed in small quantities, though, so they aren't seen very often in circulation.

uncirculated money meens the money was never used (new never touched). Ie. still in the pressed bank roll from the mint. once the money is taken out of the roll and spent it is circulated.

Chicago is the Federal Reserve district that distributed the bill, but it was printed in Washington DC. All bills were printed there until 1990, when a second facility began operation in Fort Worth.
