Wild Turkey Vultures are shy, and lack any real sort of defense except projectile vomit. Black vultures though are much more aggressive, are often found in groups and will sometimes try to kill small weak and dying animals and have been known to attack new born cattle. All in all vultures aren't a common sight depending on where you live, the most harm they could possibly do is eat the carcass of your pet dog or poop in your front yard. In my opinion vultures are the garbage men of the wilderness, they eat any carcasses preventing sickness in other animals.

Turkey vulture are not in danger of extinction, they are the most numerous of the vultures.

Predators such as lions kill there pray, and then eat it. When the lion has finished there meal, they may not have eaten the entire animal. What the lion doesn't finish, the vulture, or other scavenger would.

Vulture and like birds (all birds do this)exploit pockets of rising warm air (thermals) to provide the energy they need for lift. This is why vultures (birds) 'circle', not only to remain in one location over something that might be good to eat, but also to stay within the area of the thermal they are using to gain height.

We have turkey buzzards and they digest everything, they have very acid systems, there poop has been know to eat holes threw roofs. If they poop on your car, you must wash it off asap or it will eat right to the bare metal
