Keep in mind that under no circumstances can a civilian convert any semi auto into a full auto. Only automatic firearms manufactured before the 1986 NFA firearms act amendment can be owned by or sold to civilians. Only licensed NFA manufacturers can convert a semi to full auto and then it can only be sold to the Government or Law Enforcement Agency (not individual officer).

If you have a stock ion board you will need to open up the grip panel and refer to the owners manual for changing the " mode of fire". The stock board has a few firing modes...response semi ramping and fully automatic. By pressing the programming button located on the side if the board you can select the best firing mode for you. Remember that different fields will have.different rules about acceptable modes of fire...and yes they will check. The ion will need a bit more programming expertise to get. The most out of ut though. In full auto it is capped at 12 or 15 bps max. If you want to shoot faster you will have to upgrade your board ( I recommend a virtue) or work on your finger speed and adjust your dwell and max rate of fire. Hope this helps!

If you have experience with fixing airsoft guns you can just buy a compatible spring and install it you else, but it looks like you don't since your asking.
