They are definitely a legitimate contender. They will have to await the new look of the Pistons with the new arrival of Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva for their first test. If they prove to be too weak, their next challenge will be the Boston Celtics. Healthy, they are unstoppable. If they can beat them, they are a very good contender. If they beat the Magic as their roster stands, they will win the East. Should the Magic not re-sign Hedo Turkoglu, they will be slightly easier to beat. The last test they need to face is the defending champions themselves, the Los Angeles Lakers. Should they manage to defeat them in both meetings of they year (by more than 1-5 points as they can get lucky), then they would be the huge favorite to win the NBA championship. The Cavaliers almost made it to the finals without Shaq- imagine what they can do with him.
