It isn't dangerous to get shot with any time of airsoft gun if it isn't in the face. I use a 400fps HPA (High Pressure Air) powered Mark18 and I shoot my friends all the time. most spring airsoft guns are only about 100 or maybe 200 fps. So long as proper eyewear is worn it should be no problem.

I was thinking about getting a gas powered airsoft revolver. I was just wondering if it could be shot without the gas. Like if i cocked the hammer and shot it like a spring revolver. Would that work?
no the gas powered gun would not work because the hammer is the device that ignites the gas cartridge and the gas is the only thing propels the bb. also you can go to wal-mart buy Co2 or whatever gas you use for cheap prices
