Earning a greenhand degree means your involved in a local FFA chapter and you have basic knowledge of the FFA. It is the first degree available in the FFA. Typically, high school students earn this degree within the first year after they sign up to join the FFA.
The highest degree of educational attainment is the doctorate within any field.
What are memberships in FFA
The greenhand FFA degree pin is typically worn on the left side of the FFA member's jacket, above the FFA emblem. It is traditionally placed above the pocket, near the heart, symbolizing the member's commitment to the organization. The pin serves as a visual representation of the member's achievement of the first level of FFA membership and their dedication to learning about agriculture and leadership.

There should be no more than 3 medals on the FFA jacket. They should be under the member's name on the right side of the coat. These medals should represent the highest degree achieved, FFA officer pin, and an award pin.
