No, they are two separate and distinct organizations, each with its own philosophy, mode of operation, and goals. Both are very worthwhile youth organizations, and can easily co-exist within the same community. Many Midwest US communities have both, and there is no reason a young person cannot belong to both.

Every first year FFA member( greenhand) must memorize the FFA Creed. The creed was written to join members together with those first two words...I believe.
