I suppose the answer is that I don't really know but am looking for the same.
In any case the hardware does support it as I have no problem running this resolution under Ubuntu. (My Kit is the original Asus Pundit)

There are no benefits to upgrading to Windows XP. This is because Microsoft has decided that it will no longer support Windows XP. Therefore, Windows XP will not be given automatic updates anymore to stop viruses. It is better in the long run to just get a Windows 8 capable computer because that operating system is the newest on the market.

Windows uses an assortment of word processors. The most common is Wordpad which comes as part of Windows. Windows can support many word processorts like Open Office Write, Microsoft Word, Word Perfect and hundreds more. None of these come as part of Windows.
