How do you fix a washed phone?

Take out the battery and dry it. Put it on a space heater or something, and wait a couple hours. Then put the battery back in, or try using the same battery from a different phone. If this doesn't work, I'm sorry but your cellphone might be permanently damaged. Go see Telus or PC Mobile or Fido or whatever company your phone is, they'll fix it. Some companies actually give you a new phone for a replacement for your old one. Go check. If it's really broken, though, they might not.

Once your phone is done on the heater, it should work.

WARNING: never leave your cellphone outside to dry. I guarentee it'll either start raining and make the phone in an even worse condition, or someone will steal it. I'm sure. Just put it on the space heater and it will probably work after that.

Yes you can, you remove the battery, dry it with a hair dryer, or put it on to a radiator then put it and the battery separate in a tub of rice ( with a lid on) over night. If it still doesn't work get a new battery. :)

1. Take a towel ASAP and dry your cell phone. If it is a flip phone open it and dry the screen and buttons. Take the battery out and use your towel to dry it if there is water on it. Wait about an hour and then place your batter back in your phone and hopefully it will turn back on. If not take the battery back out. Leave it like that until the next day. In the afternoon, place your towel on a flat surface in your backyard. Place your phone on the towel and battery to dry. When its is about dark outside, bring your phone back inside. Repeat this for about five days. After a few days of sun drying, use your blow dryer on low heat and place it about three inches away from your phone battery. Do this for about thirty minutes. Then place your battery back into your cell phone and try to turn it on. If you see any light showing like your buttons, but not the screen. This is still good because it means there is progress. Try to dial a number like you usually do even with the screen off and see if it goes through. If it does, your screen will turn on in no time. But if not then sun dry your phone for a few more days. If your phone has not made any progress within these two weeks about, you have to buy a new one. However, you could just wait and sun dry it more if you have been washing your cell phone in the washer for a really long time. It may take longer.

The same thing happened to me, you have to resist he urge to turn it on it could ruin the circut if you do. Then take the battery out and out it all in a thing of rice it is a slider phone slide it open if it's a flip flip it open to dry. Let it dry for at leas 2 to 3 days, when it's dry let it charge fully, i can't say if the battery will still hold a charge after but a new battery is still cheaper than a new phone, but ,my battery still worked fine. Some places say that the camera won't work either but mine did.

I this helped, i did all that right after it was tooken out of the wash but i don't know how long the wash had been finished for, i think it stayed in my pant pocket most of the time too cuz there wasn't that much water in the screen. I don't know what happened it yours but i wish you luck, ,y phone was an lg rumor some people say there fragile or whatever but i think it's a tank it's been through so much.

i suggest getting a new cell phone, or turn it on and see if there are any problems.

it is gone forever and will never come back this has just happend to me with my samung corby and i am crying my head off :'(
