Number of 3D contents is increasing as 3D TV becomes more popular but it's true that there could be more. Some 3D TVs have 2D to 3D conversion feature which lets you watch any 2D content in 3D.
More and more movies are being made in 3D now and YouTube also has 3D contents available now. Some 3D TVs have 2D to 3D conversion that allows you to watch basically anything in 3D (sports, any 2D movie, discovery channel, etc). The quality is quite good. There's also a lot of growth in devices that let you create your own 3D content. Camcorders and video binoculars are good examples. With both of these you can watch your own content on your 3D TV.
Yes, they make 3D televisions, and you can buy Blu-Rays with 3D versions to watch on them.
There are a lot of 3D DVDs available. Broadcast 3D is becoming more common and there are also on line sources for 3D content as well. 3D content will become more common as the market penetration increases in the next year or two.
does 3d glasses come with the 3d blu ray movie or you buy the 3d TV i don't see how they can put the glasses in the case and instead of getting the 3d TV and watch it on regular led TV
No, unless you don't watch Direct TV or have 2D to 3D Conversion TV. However, not all the 3D TVs are capable of converting 2D to 3D. Therefore, answer is Yes and No. You will be able to watch TV channels in 3D on 3D TVs like LG but not on such like a Vizio because they don't support 2D to 3D conversion. So check the spec whether there are this feature in the TV before you buy it if you want to watch TV channels like Oprah, American Idol, NFL in 3D. Plus, this conversion feature convert not only TV channels but anything on TV meaning you will be able to watch literaily any contents even downloaded movie from internet, on 3D. I read ESPN and Discovery Channel in 3D are available for 24/7.
More and more is coming out. There are some cable channels like ESPN 3D if you are a sports fan. Discovery Channels if you like to watch documentaries.
you have to buy them at the theater when you watch the movie(:
You can buy a 3D blu ray player at many locations. Try Best Buy or Circuit City for the best brands. You could also try online at places such as Amazon.com.
The only animation you can watch in 3D are the feature films that were created in 3D and released on 3D bluray.
If you have passive 3D TV then yes you can watch Avatar 3D with its passive 3D glasses.
3D content is becoming more common but in 2012, is still fairly limited. Expect more content to be available in the future and also expect more 3D channels to be launched. For the time being, you will need to research the 3D content available and decide if 3D is the right investment for you.
It all depends if you can watch one for long periods of time. Personally I can not watch 3d movies or television for more than 10 minutes without getting a headache. If this is the case do not buy.
