Are there risks when YouTube?

like everything else in life of course. Ok your videos can be downloaded and people can re-upload them saying that their you. People can leave hateful comments and bully you or someone. Or you can get sued for certain things if you really say threatened someone... flashed weapons around that sort of thing.

but its a safe site to be part of, i mean how many have videos with a million views.

It depends on what you mean if you are talking about

Hacking, yes and no-

no because since 2008 YouTube has a terms of service and it mentions about hacking and it says if u r hacking into someones account then your youtube account will be taking down and your email address will be recorded at the youtube headquarters and if ur hacker trys to use another account then he will be arrested or fine anywhere between $500 to $5000.

yes because if he was terminated he could ask a friend to do all kinds of differents stuff like give a link that you don't know about(i advise any youtuber to not look at these links or sign up) or youtube troll (that is where they would send u pointless messages and give u advice that may give viruses to ur own computer) and that is about all they can do)

worries about dislikes, not a problem-

people dislike alot of videos on youtube and that is not a threat it is their opinion and most of the bad opinions are not heard.

school reputation, it is not a worry

if people at school know u r a good kid but u do goofy things on youtube then the youtube wont affect ur pefromance at school but if u r a goofy kid at school and u do that on youtube it might matter but it doubt it.

so for all and all youtube has no risks except for the link(and i still advise u dont click on any links
