After you download Google Earth and install the application there should be a short-cut to the application from the Desktop. From Windows Google Earth should also be accessible via Start Menu > All Programs > Google Earth
Sometimes installation fails. If you have an older version of Google Earth it sometimes help to uninstall it first then install the latest version. If install still fails then it may be necessary to run the Windows Cleanup Utility available from Microsoft website.
