Can a six year old girl have a iPhone?

For what reason does a 6 year old need a phone, especially an iPhone? If it's for music or the apps, get an iPad instead. Better for learning today's technology. The iPad has better features than the iPhone. Who is a six year old going to call? If you want to get a six year old something. Get them something they need. In which case clothes and shoes since they are going to be growing like crazy over the years.

A phone for anyone under the age of 13 is a lack of parenting. Where are they possibly gonna go? If you wanna track them get one of those tracker phones, they are tiny and they can't call anyone besides family. It also helps locate them like a GPS tracker. It has two buttons, one to call home and one to call 911. And there's a pager on it.

An iPhone does not make sense. iPad or the iPod touch does. I didn't have my first phone till I was 13. At 13 I had $100 from a distant uncle, with that I bought myself a brick looking phone and was put under T-Mobile's prepaid service because I was using my own money so my dad was okay with it. I had prepaid for the next two years. At 16 my mother, sister, and I got onto Metro PCS and again I bought my own phone, which was a QWERTY board phone. I had that phone and was under Metro for 4 years before moving to AT&T and buying my first Smartphone, an iPhone4s and plan out of my own money.

There's so many things a kid needs or should have besides a phone, anyone who gets a phone for their child under the age of 13 is losing common sense. I'm not trying to be offensive, but it's true. Who are they going to call? Your basically throwing money into thin air if your getting them an iPhone. Oh, plus an iPhone is small. It breaks easily, shatters, easily stolen and lost. Think before you actually get one for someone under 13.

I'm probably a little biased as I dislike iPhones, but no, I don't think any 11 year old requires an iPhone. At all.
