It depends on your plan and to whomever you are sending a text. However, there are web sites which allow you to text from computer to a phone for free.
The best way to learn how to do this is to find your phone on Straight Talk's Phone page, and then click "Learn More". This will take you to a page where you can learn more about putting music on your phone. For my phone, this information falls under "MP3 Player".
Straight Talk sells multiple phones. The prices range from free to around $400 for newer phones.
Yes the phone is officially yours! It's not like a lease or anything where you have to give it back at the end. While the phone is free, phone companies make their profits from the monthly contracts. Tons of people use their upgrade to get an expensive cool phone with intention of selling it online. They just keep using their old phone and get a couple hundred bucks.
Unfortunately, Straight Talk does not cover water damage on their phones. You can contact the company and they may replace for the phone cheaper than it costs to buy a new one.
yours
if yours is a at&t one, you can take it in to the store for a new sim chip for free. your phone might have saved all your stuff on it so nothing happened.
