Although it's tough to get through to someone, don't give your ideas away to someone else at the TV Station by sending a letter! If you have a good idea, type out your idea in a professional manner (with all the stats) on the computer, put it in a folder, go to the TV Station yourself (well groomed) and be polite, but persistentent and act very business-like. They have many people come to them with ideas, so you have to make a good first impression. NEVER leave your written idea with the front desk, just make your appointment and hope you get one because if you do leave it there it's either going to be thrown in File 13 (the trash can) or, someone may well steal your idea. Don't give up! Did you know that "Gone with the Wind" sat in a dusty file room for many years before the actual movie was made? Good luck Marcy
I don't see why not. You can pretty much write anyone about anything.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but if you mean getting your TV series on Broadcast or Cable television, you would need to pitch your show idea to a studio, or to a producer who has a deal with a studio already to partner up with you. Then together you go to the studio and pitch the idea. If the studio likes it, they will buy it from you so that they will own 90% and you (and your producing partner) will own the other 10%. Then, with a studio behind you, you pitch to networks that would best suit your show. If you're lucky, one will want to air the show. Then you go into "development" where studio and network executives work with you on your pilot script (this tends to take anywhere from 6 months to a few years). Then if they're happy with the script, then they will order a pilot. If they feel good about your pilot, they will order either 6 or 13 episodes to start with, then order more depending on the ratings of the first few episodes. If you mean putting something on your local TV channel, most local stations have blocks of time on the weekend or overnight where you pay for the time and air your show - like those 1/2 hour infomercials.
Anywhere really TV ,a computer or Evan just outside.
Pitch your idea to a producer or production company and get a deal. Or if you live in the States you could possibly make it yourself and sell to an independent/local TV channel.
I'm pretty sure the idea was from the TV show 'JAG'.

A person can contact the company they have a TV ad idea for and propose the idea. The company may have guidelines set up already on how people can send in ideas.
