No. Windows Movie Maker is a video editing program not a camera.
You can capture video from your Digital Video Camera in Vista WMM (windows movie maker) by clicking File, Import from Digital Camera.
You can't connect to your digital video camera with Windows Movie Maker. You can only connect/find a camcorder with the program. That doesn't mean you can't use your digital camera video though. You may need to convert it to a format compatible with Windows Movie Maker though before importing it into the program.
The cheapest digital camera on sale now has to be the Vivitar. They usually cost under fifty pounds in the UK and they take decent photos and they can zoom in and out. They will link up to any computer or laptop and their footage works on Windows Movie Maker. If you want a cheap, quality digital camera, choose Vivitar.
You have to make sure that the footage is compatble with windows movie maker.
Publish to- - This computer - DVD - Recordable CD - Email - Digital video camera
The Windows Movie Maker (v2.6) Capture Video feature is not called: Capture Video as it is in earlier versions. Instead, the feature is accessed by clicking File, then Import from Digital Video Camera.

A digital movie camera is a motion picture camera that uses a computer chip. The first versions still put the data to tape, usually a mini DV tape. Nowadays digital movie cameras have hard drives or take SD cards.
You can do this on Windows Movie Maker. Go to Google and type 'Windows Movie Maker download' to get it. It is free, but you need a video camera.
Nikon.
There is no synchronization feature available in WMM (windows movie maker). The best you can do to sync the audio with the footage is by dragging the media along the time-line (and hope the sound lines up half-decent with the footage).Sorry, but WMM is a very basic video editing software application with limited features.
