A BTEC-referring to schooling education, is worth four GCSES. Different schools will vary in what subjects they decide to use as a BTEC. A good example of a BTEC is btec sport. None because GCSEs do not give you UCAS points. Only AS and A Levels and their equivalents (eg. BTECs) give you UCAS points
It would depend on what kind of overpayment you are referring to. If it is like for a credit card or utility bill, they will likely just give you credit. If it is for a mortgage payment then the extra amount will be applied to your principle.
