My palm pre plus fell in the toilet (clean water) it was very messed up and was doing its own stuff and i couldn't control it then i took out the battery, sat it in rice over night and in the morning the touch screen responded after a while of touching the screen, it was still not working but after a couple minutes (10 - 15 mins) it was working properly but still was a little messed up. but when that day was over it was a normal palm pre plus again, so yes it did survive
