Swype is a new text input technology for very fast texting on small, mobile devices. It is made by Swype Inc. and you can learn more at Swype.com. It is preloaded on many phones like the Droid X. Swype has had a beta program where you could download it onto your Android phone, but the beta program is currently closed. You can register on their web site for notification the next time the beta program opens.
The EASY easy is to just trap and hold in the text input field. A box will pop up and give you the option to select one of three keyboards: Dragon Dictation, Swype or Touch. THERE IS NO MIC ON THE SWYPE KEYBOARD! But, if you select Touch Or or Dragon, you'll have the speech-to-text option. SIMPLE!

Yes, Swype (and Swiftkey) are a couple of 3rd party keyboard apps available to iOS. They previously were available to Android devices. As they are mobile apps, they are not available for Mac OS.

Yes. The HTC Evo 4G offers three text input options. First, and most basic, is the standard HTC keyboard. The Evo also has voice-to-text (the ability to record a voice and convert it to writing). The Evo can also run a beta version of Swype.
