In the caste system, social mobility is extremely limited as it is determined by birth and deeply ingrained social norms. In the class system, social mobility is relatively fluid, with individuals able to move up or down the social ladder based on factors like education, occupation, and wealth. In the meritocracy system, social mobility is based on merit and individual achievement, where those with skills and talents have the greatest opportunity to advance regardless of their background.
Spatial mobility is the rate of moves or migrations made by a given population within a given time frame. Spatial mobility can be a barrier to social mobility because spatial mobility segregates and divides races of humans into segments causing division. Division among people in our social society causes segregation, therefore, spatial mobility is a barrier to social mobility.
Among alkali metals, lithium ions have the lowest ionic mobility in water due to its smaller size and stronger attraction to water molecules. This results in greater hydration energy, which makes it harder for lithium ions to move in water compared to larger alkali metal ions like potassium or cesium.
