When Jesus said: "LEAD US not into temptation, He was asking the Father not to place Him in a situation where the TEMPTER can tempt him.
God Himself never tempts us, but we can be allowed to enter a situation where the Tempter (Satan) can tempt us. (He allowed that with Job if you will remember).
When Jesus was led into the dessert....He was PLACED in a situation where the Tempter can get a hold of him...and this is what we should ask NOT TO HAPPEN in the prayer.
Taking someone to a place where they can be tempted, (or placing them in a situation where temptation can become a problem) and tempting them yourself are two different things...
Hope that helps
Raka
that the devil tried to temptate jesus but jesus was resilient.

"It is written..."
Jesus is awesome that's why
He doesn't.
Look into Jesus' time in the desert known as the 'temptation of Jesus'
No Jesus never fell into any form of temptation.
Jesus responded to the third temptation by saying, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
Jesus said no to temptation, sin, and the devil during his time on Earth.
