How can you add a password on the samsung gravity 3?

First you go to menu, then settings, then personalize(2), then phone settings(3), then security(4), then lock phone(1), and then hit enable. It will only lock it after you turn your phone all the way off and then it will ask for the password when you turn it back on. sadly, it has to be numbers :(
