Yes you can chat on myspace. By doing that you can either send them a message or you can do IM(instant messaging) if that person is online at the same time or you can send them an offline respond to their offline IM. But some of the profiles are private so you need to friend request them and then you Will be able to send them messages or do instant messaging.

Hi, follow these methods.

1. Login to your Hi5 account.

2. Click the "Applications" tab on the toolbar at the top of the screen.

3. Click the button that says "Browse Gallery."

4. Type "Chat" in the search box when it appears.

5. Select the application that is called "Chat!"

6. Click the button marked "Add to Profile."

7. When the application opens, click on the name of a friend who is online to start a conversation with them.
