You can send a text message by downloading an app at the app store. It is called textplus. Well, there are more apps with free texting but that is the one that I have on my iPod touch. Once you download textplus it will make you set up a profile. It will want you e-mail address, name, and birthday. And then after that it will give you a phone number and make you pick username. Then you can text any number you want.
It means they used an app on the ipod to send it It actually is the signature that the apple iPod touch comes default with. it is only used when you send a message with the mail app

For iMessage on iPod touch you don't get a number people will contact you using the email you used when you signed up.
Yes, you can access your email on the iPod touch.
How do I get rid of my email accounts on my ipod
make sure you have linked your email account with the ipod
THIS IS NOT AN ANSWER, IT IS PART OF THE QUESTION.I did this, and cannot rewrite the email. I sent it to myself, also, and the exact message was, "this message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program." However, I can't find the original email so that I can reformat it. Help me D:!
To attach a Word document to an email on your iPod, first, open the document in the Word app. Tap the "Share" icon, usually represented by a box with an arrow pointing up. From the sharing options, select "Mail," which will open a new email draft with your document attached. Fill in the recipient's address and any message, then send the email.
Your facetime 'number' is either your cell phone number, or an email address. If you are on an IPhone, your cell number is used as your facetime number and facetime must be enabled. If you are on a mac based client or ipod touch, an email address is used.
by login to your email and write back. on that the iPod is just like any computer
of course, the email on your touch is already installed you just need to set it up, then there you go, checkin email from the palm of your hand!
Well, depends which message you refer to. I got an iPod touch te other day, and I discovered you can check your email. And to text, a good quality and free application is called text plus, which you can find in the app store.
