MaturityPutting aside the fact that "hate" is a very strong and ugly word, it takes maturity and a level of self-discipline to remain civil to people who you despise, particularly if they have harmed you in some way. Just remain civil; you don't necessarily have to be nice to them, because that would be disingenuous and would probably be perceived as such. If you have to be civil because of work or family issues then you just make sure you are not rude. That doesnt mean that they get to talk to you in a disrespectful manner. You just say your hello's and goodbyes and be the bigger more mature person, people around you will see your demeanor and respect that more then being ugly with someone.
