To unlock your Blackberry you will need to enter the unlock code. This code is just a calculation of IMEI number of your BlackBerry. To find your phone's IMEI number -type *#06# into your phone or look under the phone battery. There are different online services that will calculate the unlock code for your IMEI number. I can recommend BlackBerryMEP.COM (cheap and reliable). Note: don't share your IMEI number on free forums like this. It is not safe.
only by IMEI
No -- an iPod Touch does not have an IMEI number.

Type IMEI [your 15 digit IMEI number] and send it to 53232 or 57886. For example IMEI 359223015426526 to 53232 . You will receive a message with all available details from the service provider.
No Imei code is lock onto the phone itself. Every phone has a unique Imei code when it is manufactured.
The IMEI - is a unique identifying number - exclusive to each handset. EVERY IMEI is different. You can get the IMEI of your phone by dialing.... Star Hash Zero Six Hash (*#06#) on your phone's keypad.
No, the IMEI and the telephone number are not necessarily related.
The IMEI is a number used to identify a mobile phone on a network. When a stolen phone is reported, its IMEI is sent around, and it is blocked from connecting to networks worldwide. Therefore, the phone is almost useless, discouraging crime. This phone has a 'bad' IMEI. A 'good' IMEI is not barred from networks, and will work correctly in this sense.
Huwei modems can be unlocked based on the IMEI of the device. This IMEI is a 15 digit unique number. Based on this IMEI the unlock code can be calculated.

IMEI will always start with '35********** this is not accurate. on my galaxy s3 my imei number does not start with 35***. it starts with 99***. and i am told that the imei # and the serial number ARE the same. perhaps someone could better answer this question. (i do not have the answer, i came here looking for the answer) :)
