In uTorrent at Options>Preferences>Directories.
If you want to change the download location for an active torrent, stop the torrent, right-click the torrent in uTorrent and select Advanced>Set Download Location.
uTorrent downloads the files to your local 'Downloads' folder by automation. You can change it's download destination in the options menu. Or you can simply right click the downloaded torrent in utorrent and select 'open containing folder' which will open the folder the files were downloaded in.
To change the download path in most web browsers: Open the browser settings. Look for the option to change the download location or path. Select a new folder or directory to save downloads. Save your changes and downloads will now be saved to the new location.

In firefox, go to Tools ->Options...Now under the General tab in the Downloads column, select the radio button 'Always ask me where to save files'. Now every time you download something, firefox will pormpt you to specify a location for the file to be downloaded.
Go to tools and then click Options, then click Main. Click browse to choose a new location, or choose "Always ask me where to save files"
From Safari's Window menu select Downloads, this will open a window listing your downloads. If this is empty check in the Preferences, from the Safari menu, under the General settings there is an option to "Remove download list items:" which can be set to "Upon Successful Download". If this is the case change it to some other setting such as Manually. In the Downloads window you can click on the magnifying glass icon and that will open a Finder window showing your downloaded item. By default downloads are downloaded to the Downloads folder.
Downloads are typically saved in a designated folder called "Downloads" on your computer or device. The exact location can vary based on the operating system; for example, on Windows, it's usually found in the user profile folder, while on macOS, it's also in the home directory. You can often change the default download location in your web browser's settings. Always check the browser settings if you're unsure where your files are being saved.
That depends on what you are using to download them, and where said program is specified to download them to. Mozilla Firefox, for instance, usually defaults to the desktop (/home/username/Desktop).
to download video clips and movies from websites.
Click on Tools -> Options -> under Main -> Downloads section has a option which says "Save files to". Her click on browse and select the folder location where you want the download files to be saved. I checked it in version 2.0.0.9 on Mozilla Firefox. I think it should be same even in previous few versions. - Neeraj Sharma
