The rumor that you can extract ephedrine from chicken feed is an urban legend. There are no chicken feed manufacturers that add ephedrine to their chicken feed.
Ephedrine is a compound found naturally in the Ephedra plant and is not typically found in red rooster chicken feed. It is important to note that using chicken feed as a source of ephedrine can be harmful and is not recommended due to potential health risks. It is advised to obtain ephedrine through legal and safe means, such as consulting a healthcare professional.
None. No salt licks, mineral blocks, medicated feed or any of that sort have ephedrine in them. This is a myth that has been tested and busted by various scientists that have tried to extract ephedrine from various animal-feed and chicken litter sources. This has been answered before and the answer is no.
ephedra is a shrub nativ to china that yealds L&DL-ephedrine how is it sxtracted? Powderize the ephedra, make it basic with NaOH and then steam distill it over. Neutralize the distillate with HCl acid, then use a rotovap (or hair dryer) to evaporate the water. Also, I'm pretty sure that Ephedra only yields the active isomers, that's l-ephedrine and D-pseudo. Plants of the genus "Sida" (S cordifolia, S rhombifolia etc) also yield Ephedrines. Do an A/B on Sida cordifolia extract ;^)
The natural or pure form of ephedrine is derived from the Ephedra plant found from southern Europe to Africa and the mountains of both North and South America. The extract from this plant contains the active ephedrine alkaloid.
you wont get ephedra plants as such but you can get ma-hung extract in many diet pills. other than that if you are planning for weight loss with ephedrine we get pharmaceutical grade of ephedrine with proper prescription of your doctor.
