I'm guessing you're young. We used to have these things called "phone books" that did exactly that. They're still around (in fact, the phone company dropped one off on my porch yesterday -- it's still there, because how 20th century is that?). You could also call directory assistance, though that might cost you something.

If it's an unlisted number, the only way to get it is for the person whose number it is to give it to you.
