AV2 normally denotes audio video input number 2, which is apparently where you have some equipment hooked up to. Your remote or TV may have a button that says "display" or "picture", if not then get into the menu for the TV and find the area that allows you to make changes to the picture. When you select to turn off this input selection icon, it will likely still appear when you first turn on the TV or select a different input, but will go away in a short period of time.
Using your hand held remote control, switch the inputs using the input button until you once again arrive to the program source you're using. You've got the TV selecting the `Audio / Video input # 2'.
The universal term is Digital on-screen graphic. However, in the U.S. it is commonly called a score bug, or simply just "bug."
There could be a number of reasons but it might be that the AV2 input provides for either composite or S-video signals to be used. Composite is normally carried on a phono (RCA) connector colored yellow. An S-video signal is carried on a 4 pin connector about 10mm (3/8") diameter. If the connector panel on the television has both a yellow phono and a 4 pin mini din connector, the set up menu will allow the input to be set to one or the other. The display shows "AV2 S" according to the question and it is likely that the "S" indicates that the S-video input is selected. Use the setup menu to configure AV2 to use "composite" rather than "S-video" and the picture should appear. Note that this is one of several reasons so there is no guarantee that this is the fix. A minute or two with the television remote should prove whether or not this fixes the problem.
