Your phone will only do what it can where you are. If you have a phone that is capable of being used abroad it should work the same way it does in your home country. If you don't want your phone to ring while you are abroad you can either turn the phone fully off or if your phone has an "airplane" setting switching to that your phone won't beep or ring. You also won't be able to make outgoing calls. The question is really pretty vague.
If you hear beeping instead of ringing when you call a number, it might indicate that the call is being redirected to voicemail or that the number is disconnected or out of service. Alternatively, it could also mean that the phone is turned off or that the recipient has enabled a feature to silence incoming calls. If the issue persists, consider checking your phone settings or contacting your service provider for assistance.

It is almost correct: it simply needs an article before the word phone, to make the sentence "Yours is the briefcase with the phone ringing inside." This sentence could be the answer to the question, "Which briefcase is mine?""The briefcase with the phone ringing inside is yours" is a more common construction, however.
