When conducting research, it is crucial to get the real facts. The best advice is to check different sites, not just one in order to figure out which is the best site. Most answers should be alike, in order to find out if the answers are true or not.
Second, see if the page is crammed with advertisements and commercials. If the site has lots of ads, check another site. Keep in mind, just one ad does not mean the site is full of lies.
Third, check the end of the URL. Does it end in ".com?" Or ".org?" Usually, the sites that end in ".edu" and ".org" are the best bets. (Keep in mind, there are sites that end with ".com" that are trustworthy as well.
Keeping this criteria in mind, just scan the site. Is the group or publisher's purpose should be clear. Does the information make sense? Can you find the information easily? And finally, does the information sound reliant?
