I would just find the person on facebook and just click add friend and than that person will either add you or not. It is really their choice.

um ... depending, maybe you had caps on for your password or forgot your email or password. maybe you changed something in your password, or possibly someone has found out your password and changed it, last but not least facebook might have DELETED it, once facebook deleted my account for no reason! it just said it didnt exist , i was so mad. i know my password and my email just fine. so watch out for hackers or FACEBOOK O: , anywho. also i deleted an account because what facebook did to me was SO bad D:< , i put my address and privated it for only my friends but my sisters friend could see it and msg-ed me. when i tried to take it off it just stayed there ! and when i go back on the accoutn it re-enables it making it exist again :@ , i was just checking on it. grr... watch out what you put on fb. !
When does a facebook account get locked?
It's like when somebody tries to hack into your account and like someone who knows your email adress is typing the wrong password many times :) u just have to bare with it.
