You can get a program on your computer that allows you to change all sorts of things on your tumblr dashboard. I think it's something like 'greasemonkey' although I haven't used it in a while.
Your Tumblr background can be changed by going to your dashboard and selecting 'customize' from there you select 'appearance' and scroll down the drop down bar until you come to 'background' you can then select an image or a plain background colour.
Click on 'insert an image' or '+upload photo'.
Go to your tumblr customize html. Press Ctrl F and type 'background' (without quotation marks) if you find something under the .body like this: background: #FFFFFF; (or another color code) change it to: background-image: url(YOURIMGHERE); If that code is already there, then just put the URL of the image in the brackets
if you have a theme installed, you cannot change your background in any way. but if you do not have a theme installed, you go to dashboard>preferences>customize>appearance> then there should be a button that says Upload Background Image
From your main dashboard click design on the blog you want to change, then click template designer. then click into the tab in that that lets you change your background image. ask if you have any questions.
A moving image.
To change the background image on the Microsoft lock screen, first open the Settings app. Then, go to Personalization and select Lock screen. From there, choose the Background option and pick a new image from the available options or upload your own. Finally, save your changes and the new background image will appear on your lock screen.
It is likely because the image is much too big for tumblr. If it has been replaced by a little gray box, the image is too big. Try making it smaller :)
You cant do that. You have to take a screenshot on your computer of the facebook page or comment and post it as an image to tumblr.
To change a clip art to a floating object, you can remove the background or convert the image to a transparent PNG format. Once you've done that, you can place the image onto any background or design where it will appear to "float" without a visible background.
In most browsers the background image will be shown. If the image has been configured so as not to repeat, and the element is larger than the background image then the area that is not covered by the background image will display the background color. DJL
