The key to playing and winning in Knighthood is to start building your defenses up first, then expand your barracks (offense). I made the mistake of making a huge barracks first which pitted me again played 3-4 times stronger than I was. Build your walls first since it defends your castle. Place high level figures in your castle first to generate hammers quickly. But one you build a barracks you can be attacked, so then move knights into your wall as they will repel attckers.
