How do you put text on a picture?

To add text over the video in iMovie click on the Title (T) button and select the style of text you want to use. Drag the title image over where you want it to appear in your video, the video will turn purple to indicate where the text will appear. Type your text into the box that says "Title Text Here". A blue bar appears above the video track to indicate the text sections. You can drag the blue bar around to move your text or click it to edit the text. Change the style of text by using the options in the Text menu.

If you have a small amount of text, the absolute easiest thing to do is to do a screen print. Center your text the middle of your screen and make sure that your screen size encompasses the entire amount of text you want to copy. Hit your "Screen Print" or "Print Screen" button. Open up a blank Word document and then right click on it and paste. It will paste your screen as a picture into the document. You can then cut the edges off and resize it to the size you'd like it to be. This option takes about 10 seconds. It is seriously easy.

If you have Microsoft products, and you have Powerpoint, open up Powerpoint and paste your text into as many slides as you need for pages. Then "save as". But don't hit OK. Look for "document type" and select PNG, JPG, BMP, or TIFF; then click on Save or OK. It will save your document as pictures.

If you have Adobe, you can pdf your document directly from the original and then save it from there as a jpg or a tiff.

If you have a photo program that allows you to create, you can also paste your text into a plain background and then save it as a PNG, JPG, BMP, or TIFF file.
