How long does it take to get a new password on Answers.com?

PasswordsIt should be almost instantaneous. If you click "e-mail me a new password" from the Sign In page, you should get a message within a minute or two. Some notes:

• You might want to check to make sure your e-mail system did not label it as "spam."

• Sometimes your ISP or network provider (especially office networks) hold up mail.

• You need to have already had an e-mail address associated with your username, of course. Otherwise there is nowhere to send the new password. If you know your username but are having trouble getting your password, please send a message via the Contact Us form (provided as a Related Link below). We can add your e-mail address to your account manually and have a new random password generated.

The new password that is set should be as soon as someone sets a new password, if not, I would recommend waiting for 24-hours, if it still hasn't changed to the new password, contact a Supervisor or Community Assistant.
