If you type in a standard e-mail address or website, it will be set up as a hyperlink automatically.
As long as the data is OK....Copy it into your web browser address bar...hit enter and wait for the location the come up....then drag the address from address bar as you would for "the drag and drop method"
first of all highlight your text you want to add the hyperlink to. then click insert up the top. it should have hyperlink with a picture of the world click on that. Then if you have been on the page click browse page and the the website address.
Right click on the link and make sure the hyperlink is active. A drop down menu should pop up and you should be able to check the hyperlink as active.
Right click with the mouse on the link you want to adjust and then click Edit Hyperlink on the shortcut menu that comes up. If you have the cell selected you can also go to into the Insert Menu and pick Hyperlink. One other way is to press and hold the Ctrl key and press K.
When you mouse over an image that is a hyperlink, you will usually see your cursor change to an open hand. Also, near the bottom of your browser, you should see a URL come up.

Everything adds size to a worksheet. However, if what you mean is is what the hyperlink jumps to included in the file if it is part of another file, then no that is not added in. It is just the text of the link itself that is taking up space.
