Honestly, it really shouldn't matter if you're having a good or bad day, in my opinion. What I believe you want to project is always a positive attitude and nothing blends in better with a positive "non-used up" word to define a positive response that in return will result in a positive and genuine interest on behalf of the person asking. For example, people ask me that and I say " phenomenal...." or even something like " i feel how you look today, Superb!." I can't tell you guys how many times I've gotten positive feedback and genuine responses from that. On top of that, if you're feeling down, the way to make yourself feel better is by making someone else feel good. Just my opinion......
AnswerUsually, it's intended as either a conversation starter or maybe just an acknowledgement that you're there. How about a simple "good, you?"It's intended to give someone an opportunity to say something in reply or maybe just hang out or maybe it means nothing.
AnswerThe general answer to How are you doing is I'm doing fine. How are you? People mainly just ask this to be nice. They might not really know you or actually care how you are doing so if you want to really throw someone for a loop try this... If your having a crappy day just tell the truth. Just tell them you're having a bad day because this and that happened and blah blah blah. Then when they see you again they won't ask you. That is if you would like to stop being asked this question. Otherwise just go with the first response which again is: I'm fine. How are you? AnswerWell.. that depends on how you are doing. Most people like to say "Fine, and you?" ... But if you don't really want to be talking to that person, try saying "Fine, thank you for asking" and walk away... AnswerIf you're feeling a bit under the weather but don't want to lie, you can say "Not bad" and follow by asking the other person how they are. I do agree with the above answer that most people ask "How are you?" to be polite or because they've been taught to do it. An in depth or unnecessarily honest answer can be more than they bargained for. So keep it simple, and make it vague when you're feeling bad and don't want to divulge your situation.
Say what you are doing, possibly in a banterish way.
When asked what's up your response can be as simple as not much. Or you can go into detail about what you are doing.
Sound
Clarify status of relationship.
Fine thank-you.
my life is going well

huh? this question is weird. it isn't really clear what you're asking... If you meant to ask: "Someone asked me on facebook, what makes me think he doesn't like me; what should I reply?" then you should reply with whatever it is.
No. You would be answering a different question.
When I am asked how I am, I usually reply that I am fine.
Let's say somebody asked me who is this, then I'll reply this is cloillia
Say yes or no.
