You can backup and restore your contacts using many free and paid available Android apps which are available on playstore. The easiest method is you install the app and then backup the contacts on either cloud or in the phone (I prefer cloud method) and then you install same app on new phone, login with same account and then restore your contacts. I am sharing few apps for you which I hope will solve your problem. > Contacts Backup: Data Recovery, Transfer & Restore > SMS Backup & Restore Pro > SMS Backup+ App Try these and I hope that it will help you.
Assuming you have a newer version of Android OS on your current phone, when you upgrade to a newer phone, all the apps you had previously downloaded will transfer to that new phone. You can also download apps that can backup the data that is in an app (saving it to your external SD), and after retrieving the apps into your new phone, you can restore the data that was backed up. If your phone is rooted, you can use backup apps which can mass backup all the data that you have.
As many users do not realize it, you restore your phone and wipe it out before installing every update. Before updating, your phone would automatically make a backup of it's data and put that data back on the phone afterward. Sometimes there are cases when updating to iOS 5 that you lose all of your apps, but luckily redownloading them off the App Store again will restore them with all of their data.
Yes, you can back up your data before resetting your phone. Most smartphones offer built-in backup options, such as cloud services (like Google Drive for Android or iCloud for iPhones) that allow you to save your contacts, photos, and app data. It's important to ensure that you complete the backup process before performing a reset to avoid losing any important information. After resetting, you can restore your data from the backup.
Hey! Restoring your Android from backup is usually straightforward if you’ve set it up right. Here’s what worked for me: Google Backup: Go to Settings > System > Backup, make sure “Back up to Google Drive” is enabled. When setting up a new phone, it’ll ask you to restore from your Google account backup. Samsung Users: Use Smart Switch to transfer everything from your old phone to new. Third-party apps: If you used apps like Titanium Backup (root users), just restore via the app. Pro tip: Make sure your backup includes app data, not just contacts and photos — saves tons of hassle! I switched phones recently and this saved me hours. Hope it helps!

Forever! If you buy or download and app from the App Store, it will remain on your phone until you delete it. It could also get removed if you restore your iPhone. But other than that, it will last forever.
