Is a nook better than a iPad?

Nook, most definitely. Not only is it prettier, but it has a touch screen at the bottom for easier navigation than the Kindle. It holds more books than the kindle (1,500) and is really cool.

I would do your research,, though, and see which fits you. The new Kindle has a keyboard at the bottom, but there is a new Nook called Nook Color, that is completely touch screen and in color, while the nook's screen is black and white, but the touch screen is color.

Go to bn.com (barnes and noble's website) and do you research. Read some reviews, watch a few videos. P.S the Nook is cheaper currently.

the nook is not necessarily better than the kindle, it really depends on the kind of e-reader u are looking for. both are really nice e-readers compared a lot of other alternatives. if you do research on them you can find which on you like best.

It depends because if you want to read, maybe listen to some music, not have glare from the sun, even go on some websites than get a kindle. But if you want a touch screen, more sites (including YouTube), and color get a nook.

That's an opinion and cannot be accurately answered by anyone. My personal opinion is the nook, although I have a kindle not a nook. If you want a good answer, ask some one you trust, have strong opinions for, feel the same way about a lot of things, or a close family member of friend.

If you do not expect much, the Barnes and Noble Nook can do a number of things that the iPad can do just as well.

If you "jailbreak" (in Apple terminology) or "Root" the Nook you can get it to do more. You probably will not be able to get the Nook to do Bluetooth connections and you won't be able to take pictures with the Nook, since it does not have a camera. On the other hand, the Nook will not extract more than $200 from your bank account.

Nook is an e-reader wich means only built for reading books now it doesn't glare. An iPad is better business choice or for a kid, but its not built for reading.
