Whatever you want really. There is just something perhaps more glamorous about having a .com address, and it makes it appear more worldwide. However, if you live in the UK I would suggest a co.uk one, especially if you are a retail company, as customers may be put off by the .com.
Yes because I used have a com account and now I have a couk account and it works just as good:).
The name of your domain, nor it's suffix (The .org, .com, etc), will not effect your actual website. But it will, sometimes, tell users what your website is about, or what it does. The domain suffix "org" was intended for use by organizations, such as charities, as "com" was intended for commercial use (Although "com" has become the popular domain suffix name - It's intention has likely demolished). But don't be fooled - Any website may use "org" or "com" freely. Having an "org" suffix on your domain does not require you to have a organization of any sort, and so on.
.com relates to websites that are businesses (in the main) Just like charities use .org & countries get to use domains that relate to their own country like .ie is for an Irish site
The primary difference between .com and .info domain names lies in their intended use. The .com domain is widely recognized as a commercial domain, primarily used by businesses and organizations, while .info is intended for informational websites, providing content or resources on various topics. Additionally, .com domains are more popular and often viewed as more credible due to their widespread use, whereas .info domains may not carry the same level of recognition or trust.
Top Level Domain (TLD) - which identifies the registration authority which maintains a registry of domain names, their owners and the IP numbers they refer to. COM was created to register domain names intended for commercial use and is the largest registry to date.
The original intention behind .com was "commercial business", and .info was "information" sites. In practice, this distinction isn't always followed, and there is no restriction on how you can use these domains. In general .com sites are perceived to be of higher quality and are preferable as a domain choice.
Not necessarily. ".com" is the official suffix for commercial domains, not governments (they use the ".gov" suffix). However, a government could certainly purchase a ".com" domain.
well the com part stand for commercial. so therefore you can use the website you are setting up as a commercial website used for commercial purposes.
Domain appraisal is used to determine the value of the website and will vary based on the site the TDL in example .com .net. Some people use domain appraisal for tax purposes and basically tells you what the domain name and space is worth.
On the internet a .com domain name, a top level domain (TLD) usually denotes a commercial website. While this analogy is not perfect , most all commercial web sites should use this TLD, but in certain cases, such as the .com TLD is not available, A TLD such as .net, or .biz can be selected for the commercial web site's domain DNS. The TLD .com can be used by a someone for other purposes, but it does help distinguish commercial websites from non commercial websites.
Not really. Several organizations use other domains, such as .edu, .com, .net and .org
The domain extension ".r" is not a commonly used or recognized extension in internet addresses. The most common domain extensions are ".com", ".org", ".net", etc. It is important to use a recognized domain extension to ensure credibility and trustworthiness of a website.
