Depends on the Faucet some are beside each other and are maked with a Red Circle with H for hot and C for cold which would have a blue circle
Turn the water off to the faucet. Remove the handle. The top of the faucet should unscrew to get to the ball valve. Replace the valve and gaskets then reassemble the faucet.
Convection. The hot water at the bottom of the pot rises to the top.
Convection
The cold water supply enters the tank at the bottom near the burner. Heat rises, as does hot water. The hot water supply is piped out from the top.
The hot water that enters the radiator rises to the top as it is lighter and less dense than the cooler water at the bottom. This creates a temperature difference between the top and bottom of the radiator. Heat is transferred from the hot water to the radiator fins, which in turn heats the surrounding air.
Well a faucet is "A device for regulating the flow of a liquid from a reservoir such as a pipe or drum". In most cases its the neck that is on top of a cink that that water flow out of. If you need any further answers for What is a Faucet? Try Google, that site will save your life.
Because hot water weighs less (steam) than ice.
The reason for this is because hot water rises and cold water sinks. So as the heater heats the water the hot water rises to the top of the tank while the colder water sinks to the bottom to be heated. That is why the cold water inlet is installed at the bottom of the tank while the hot water outlet is on top.
radiators are cold on the bottom and hot on the top?
Cold water is supplied to the bottom of the hot water tank to prevent mixing of cold and hot water. This ensures that the hottest water is at the top of the tank where it can be drawn for use, while the cold water enters at the bottom to be heated by the heating element or burner. This also helps in creating a convection current within the tank for efficient heating.
The spout opening on the faucet must be at least 1" above the flood rim of the sink which would be the top of the counter.
You will get warm instead of hot water. There is a tube inside the tank on the cold side that goes to the bottom of the tank and the hot comes directly from the top. Reverse them and you are going to get the cold water that settles to the bottom of the tank. It will not hurt the tank or anything, it just makes for poor hot water.
