It's very hard to fix, especially if you get that piece of crap phone from virgin mobile. I got it and I have barely had it a year and I take great care of it and now I have the same problem and I have tried everything I can without dismantling the phone or throwing it at a wall. Just call them if you have their number. They'll send you a free replacement (although it still sucks to put all your numbers back on and go without any of your friends knowing what's going on because you can't text them for a while or contact them easily)
