I had an Aiwa TV and for some reason they put what I'd a two-stage swith on it. By this I mean that the button on the television may be pushed in, so as to be in the on position, but then in order for the set to actually turn on the remote power button had to be pressed. Open the back of the guitar, then plug the cord from the guitar into the back of the remote. Insert the remote into the guitar (I tend to put the bottom of the remote in first), then close it up.
In order to see who a remote is made by, you can look in the back behind the batteries and it will give you all of the information on the remote.
